Day Trips

My family and I have recently had dozens of visitors. Although it is easy to reach many locations within Serbia, I have become a fan of using guides because the experience is the chance to show family and friends more about Serbian history and culture. We have used the following services and recommend them:

Srdjan Ristic of Explore Belgrade (he has been written up in the Telegraph newspaper) runs day tours through-out Serbia. His tours are not cheap but are well worth the investment.

Belgrade Tours also runs several interesting overnight tours including the Sargan Eight train and Devils Town. (Please note that you need to book well in advance because the tour operator is also a professor and is not always available)

Wild Serbia runs many interesting outdoor programs, including canyoning, caving, and kayaking. They provide all the equipment. If you are look for an adventure, this is a great way to have one.

If you don't want a tour guide, you should check out National Tourism Organization of Serbia. They have 52 unique suggestions for weekends outside of Belgrade.

Finally, just get in a car and go for a drive. There is always new and interesting to discover.
